Why can't I download the software?
Some netscape users have trouble downloading
the 2.95MB file. If you have trouble, send an e-mail to the webmaster
to have a copy of the file emailed to you.
When I look at the references page, strange
characters appear amongst the text?
This may be caused by having an old
version of a dll file on your computer (RICHED32.DLL or RICHED20.DLL).
The text is in a format that allows underlining, bolding etc. (RTF)
This may occur for some windows 95 users, but should not be an issue
for anyone running Windows 98 and above.
Some screens appear with 'scroll bars'
on the right and bottom edges, and the information is not visible until
scrolled.
This will happen when a machine has
it's display set to 'Large Fonts'. Try setting the display to 'Normal
Fonts' to determine if this is the problem. Any unusual display problems
can be caused by older versions of the display adapter drivers. Please
make sure that you are using the latest reference versions of your display
driver, which is usually available from the manufacturers web site.
"Install error message: Incompatible
version of the RPC stub" appears when I try to install the software
The Issue: When you
attempt to install SASSI on Windows
98, the installation process quits during setup and the following
error message appears:
Error number: 0x80070725
Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub
The Reason it Occurs: Like most online
Software Vendors, SASSI uses InstallSheild
to create the Installer Package that is downloaded form this site.
This product accesses certain Windows DLL's in order to function correctly.
You will receive the above error message because one or a number of
the required DLL's has been changed on your system due to a previous
installation of other software.
The Solution to the Problem: Installshield
have recognised this problem and the following article is available
for your perusal: ErrorMsg
Incompatible version of the RPC stub
Longer Term Solution: We are currently looking at other Install Packaging
software which is not affected by this problem.
What's a .pdf and
how do download Adobe Acrobat?
Documents presented in Portable Document
Format (PDF) can be viewed on just about any computer without loosing
their formatting. Web developers use this program a lot to save forms,
pamphlets or other documents that need to 'look nice' as well as contain
information, so when you download them they look just as they should!
You need the program Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your
computer in order to view these files. If you don't have this program,
your computer will open this file with a default program such as Word,
and it will all look like goobledegook. Acrobat Reader is quick to
download, easy to use and free!
To
do this, click on the Acrobat
Reader icon and follow their instructions (don't worry, it is
a simple 3 step process!). Once this program is installed you will
be able to view any PDF document you like at any time! You can either
right-click the link to the PDF document and 'Save Target As..', or
click on the link to the PDF document, open it in the browser window,
and then save the file.
